James, petty excuses or were you truly violating motor vehicle laws? Yes, here in Richmond Hill, we welcome people who use turn signals. We applaud those who make sure their vehicles are fully operational, tail lights and all, before embarking on a vacation with their most precious loved ones within the car. And, we will gladly drive a little slower in town, so that families can enjoy our very walkable city on foot or by bicycle. Three years ago, we relocated here from South Florida, after taking one of those little family vacations trying someplace new. Richmond Hill is a town that lines its streets with families and flags when a beloved son has made the ultimate sacrifice for his country. It’s a town where your kids can play freely in their neighborhoods with friends, without the need of an ever present parental eye. It’s a town that supports small businesses, quality education, and rallies together to support for a neighbor in need. In short, it’s a great place to call home if you’re willing to respect and adhere to the laws that keep us all safe.

Glad your ok Morgan with that type of thing going on in your community…but be careful what you wish for. Next time your out on vacation somewhere new trying to enjoy a family time vacation….only to have a officer of the “law” pull you and your family over for petty excuses and writes you a outrageous large fine for it…remember what you wished on others. Its not right…not for anyone. Wrong doing is one thing…money grabs for nothing is something else.

Thats for sure all it is…a sleasy money grab. Paying violations/ tickets for legitimate wrong doings is one thing…but quotas filled with petty money grabs is plain wrong. They are simply looking for the dollar not public saftey.

Why would anyone want to stop here and spend a dime..police deptment there handing out petty tickets from anything from tag lights out to not signaling. Hundred dollar tickets for nothing but end of month cash ins…what a horrid place to call home
